Our trusted trainers schedule their lessons independently. We encourage our boarders at every level to progress in their horsemanship by working with a professional, but it is not a requirement for boarders at Winding Brook to take lessons.
Adam Cropper
Adam Cropper has earned his USDF Bronze, Silver, Silver Bar, and Gold medals on horses he trained himself. He has brought numerous horses of various breeds to the FEI level and has earned many regional and national awards. In addition, Adam brings his experience as a USEF "r" dressage judge to his instruction.
Adam has also helped several of his students earn their USDF medals. He enjoys seeing his students’ progress and he loves helping riders achieve their goals. Adam is happy to work with horses and riders of all levels. Please contact Adam at 603-540-5509 for lesson availability and pricing.
Valerie "Val" Kelly
Valerie Kelly is a multi-carded horse show judge, Certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist (CESMT), and Massachusetts certified riding instructor. Valerie has been riding horses since 1990. She specializes in show jumping, classical dressage, and Western dressage. Valerie has shown throughout New England in a variety of disciplines. Her experience within different facets of the equine industry has allowed her a unique perspective on instructing and training.
Valerie’s approach consists of a combination of her own methods assembled from a strong foundation of working with various trainers. She has a passion for off the track thoroughbreds and is an expert in retraining and restarting this breed. Valerie loves the sensitive and highly intelligent nature of these horses. Through a variety of training methods, Valerie is able to carefully develop their limitless potential. Valerie believes that, just like people, horses are their own individuals and each horse and rider team learns at their own pace and has their own set of skills and challenges. Valerie customizes plans and easily adapts to each team to help them reach their goals. She teaches all levels of riders from first timers learning the basics of horsemanship through more advanced students interested in showing locally at the amateur level.
